CORKERILL EXPRESS

George Wyllie was born in Shettleston, Glasgow and brought up in Craigton, not far from Bellahouston Park. Craigton Station, was one of several local stations in an area well-served by the railway network and close to the shipyards. His Corkerhill Express, like his Homage to Hornby, is a link with his childhood and his early fascination with trains and engines.

In style, it also links to a series of trains which were part of George Wyllie's Incomplete History of Transportation in America.
