In Springburn Academy, S1 pupils created this boat out of calico in their Curriculum for Excellence technologies course. The pupils had been finding out about George Wyllie and each one had created a design based on their research. The pupils used the archive to investigate the artist's work The winning design was chosen by a Depute Headteacher at the school and features symbols of some of Wyllie's most well-known scul?tures. His name is repeated throughout the design, as are question marks.

The Fabric & Fashion class was particularly interested in George Wyllie's Tweed Tram and Tweed Bicycle as they created their own boat from calico fabric, rather than from paper.

S1 also got involved in Art & Design
