CURRICULUM CONTEXTS FOR LEARNING

Classes are finding out about George Wyllie in nursery, primary and secondary.

They are doing so through Art & Design, Music, English, Drama, Social Studies & Technologies.

The George Wyllie Education Initiative provides a context to investigate the work and ideas of a Scottish sculptor, who also wrote poetry and music, and performed both music and drama, who cared passionately about the Clyde, both its environment and its people. It gives pupils the opportunity to find out about the creativity of the artist and to create, exhibit, perform and publish their own work.

Experiences and outcomes in the following curriculum areas have been listed as being particularly relevant. Evidence of them can be found throughout the examples in the various schools.
